Some history ... Alex Wilson was 25 when, in 1940, he purchased The Dryden Observer, a weekly newspaper. Raised in a hardworking Scottish family, Alex, with foresight and tenacity and the help of his brothers, Jim and Roy, built the company into what is now Alex Wilson Coldstream Ltd., manufacturers of high quality full colour printing.

Expanding general printing into full colour lithography during the 1950s, the company became one of Canada's leading postcard manufacturers.

Requirements for space and equipment led to several additions, culminating in an entirely new facility by 1960. But the growth didn't stop there. During the 60s and 70s the company expanded its manufacturing division into children's game books and later paper placemats and tray covers. Total manufacturing space is now 63,000 square feet.

With the development of newer technologies, AWCL is now growing into an information provider for many industries.

Roy, the youngest of the three brothers, become its President and majority shareholder in May 2004.
